Well, Day 9 was quite the mix of weather, but that didn't stop us from having an incredible time! We woke up to a full day of rain, sleet, and even some snow here in Island Park. So, we took it easy this morning and stayed cozy in the motorhome until after lunch. Sometimes, a lazy RV morning is exactly what you need!
Once the weather eased up a bit, we ventured out for some retail therapy in West Yellowstone. It's always fun to browse the shops and pick up a few souvenirs.
And since we loved it so much, we decided to have another Mexican feast at Cafe Sabor! Their food is just consistently delicious, and those street tacos are still reigning as the best I've ever had. We definitely had to go back for more!
After supper, we decided to brave the elements again and explored some of the backcountry roads in Island Park, Idaho. And guess what?! Our persistence paid off! We finally hit the jackpot and spotted not just one, but three moose AND a baby! It was absolutely amazing to see them in their natural habitat, even if it meant shooting through rain and snow. Some of today's photos might not be perfect quality due to the weather, but the memory is definitely crystal clear. Our elusive moose quest is complete!
Despite the wild weather, today was truly memorable. Tomorrow, we're heading back into Yellowstone National Park, and the plan is to see the iconic Old Faithful and many other famous sights. We can't wait to see what other wonders Yellowstone has in store for us, especially with hopefully clearer skies!
