What an exciting start to our day! This morning, we officially pulled out of the Rapid City / Black Hills KOA. And guess what? July 11th marks the RV's two-year anniversary, and just a few miles before our first stop, we hit a huge milestone: the odometer rolled over 10,000 miles! We've had some truly awesome adventures in this motorhome so far, and we're looking forward to many, many more to come. Cheers to 10,000 miles and counting!

Our first stop today was the famously quirky Wall Drug! We followed the signs for miles and it did not disappoint. We spent some time exploring all the unique shops, grabbing some souvenirs, and then had a fun lunch. It's truly a one-of-a-kind roadside attraction!

Next, on our way to Badlands National Park, we couldn't resist a quick stop at the Giant Concrete Prairie Dog – for a photo op that truly captures the spirit of roadside attractions! We had a blast watching the real stars of the show: the numerous prairie dogs scurrying around their towns. They're so entertaining!

Then, it was on to another incredible natural wonder: Badlands National Park! We officially marked another National Park off our list, and it was spectacular. The landscape is so strikingly unique, with its colorful, sculpted buttes and pinnacles. Of course, we took a ton of photos of the dramatic scenery.

We finished off our travel day by pulling into another KOA, this one located right at 1880 Town, also known as Midland, SD.

What a day filled with iconic roadside stops and stunning natural beauty. South Dakota continues to surprise and delight us!

What's the most unique roadside attraction you've ever visited?
