What a jam-packed and amazing sightseeing day we had in the Black Hills! We covered so much ground and saw some truly incredible things.

We kicked off our busy day by heading into Custer State Park, where we completed the fantastic wildlife tour. It was a great opportunity to see more of South Dakota's diverse animals in their natural habitat.

Next up, we checked off another National Park from our list: Wind Cave National Park! We then took a beautiful drive through the Black Hills National Forest, soaking in the serene scenery of pine trees and granite formations.

For lunch, we stopped at The Custer Wolf in Custer, and it was a delicious and hearty meal that refueled us for the afternoon.

Our journey continued to the awe-inspiring Crazy Horse Memorial. It's truly humbling to witness the sheer scale and ongoing dedication to this monumental sculpture. You can really feel the history and significance of the project.

And for a sweet treat that hit the spot, we made a pilgrimage to the famous Purple Pie Place! Their pie and ice cream were absolutely fantastic – a perfect pick-me-up.

Later in the afternoon, we returned to Custer State Park to visit the picturesque Sylvan Lake. It's a stunning spot with dramatic rock formations reflecting in the clear water – perfect for a leisurely stroll and more photos.

To cap off our epic sightseeing day, we drove the thrilling Needles Highway. This road is an engineering marvel, winding through incredibly narrow tunnels and past towering granite spires that resemble needles. It was a true driving adventure!

Today was definitely a lot of driving and sightseeing, but every moment was filled with wonder.

The Black Hills are absolutely incredible, offering such a diverse range of natural beauty and historical significance.

What's your favorite thing to do in the Black Hills?
