Another wonderful day here in Cody, Wyoming! I started the morning out solo with a beautiful scenic drive around Buffalo Bill State Park. The views of the reservoir against the backdrop of the mountains were stunning, and I even managed to snag a few wildlife photos along the way.
It's always a treat to see animals in such picturesque settings.
Next, we all took a fascinating step back in time by walking through Old Trail Town in Cody. This place is incredible – a collection of authentic frontier buildings that have been moved here from various locations across Wyoming. You can wander through cabins, a saloon, and even Butch Cassidy's Hole-in-the-Wall cabin! It really gives you a sense of what life was like in the Old West.
After our historical adventure, we settled down for a classic lunch at The Irma. This historic hotel, built by Buffalo Bill Cody himself, has so much character. The food was delicious, and it was fun to soak in the atmosphere of such a legendary place.
The afternoon was a bit more low-key, which was much needed after all our adventures! We spent some time catching up on laundry (the glamorous side of RV life!) and just resting at the KOA. It’s important to recharge for the next leg of the journey!
Tomorrow, we're back on the road and heading to the Devil's Tower / Black Hills KOA. We're excited to see that iconic landmark and explore more of Wyoming.
