Well, it's our last night here at Red Rock RV Park in Island Park, Idaho! It's been an amazing basecamp for exploring Yellowstone and the Tetons, and we're definitely going to miss the convenience.
I kicked off Day 13 bright and early, venturing out into the backcountry of Island Park with my camera in hand, on the hunt for some local wildlife. It was a peaceful morning, and I had some fantastic sightings! The highlights included spotting a magnificent Swainson's Hawk, a majestic Bald Eagle perched high, a graceful group of American White Pelicans on the water, and two handsome Mule Deer grazing. It's always a thrill to capture these moments in nature.
After my wildlife photography expedition, it was a day of well-deserved relaxation back at the RV Park. We spent the rest of the day getting things organized and ready for our departure tomorrow. It's amazing how much prep goes into moving the motorhome, even after a longer stay!
Tomorrow, we're heading to the Cody KOA in Cody, Wyoming, where we'll be spending a few nights. We're really looking forward to visiting Buffalo Bill State Park and, of course, taking in the famous Cody Rodeo! Get ready for some classic Western fun!
It's bittersweet to leave Island Park, but we're excited for the next leg of our adventure.
